BMCC 2025: Your "Know Before You Go" Guide

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the 26th Building Michigan Communities Conference (BMCC) on May 14–15 at the Lansing Center (333 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing). Here are a few last details to help make your BMCC experience enjoyable.

Registration Desk Hours

  • Tuesday, May 13: 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 14: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 15: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Parking at the Lansing Center

  • Parking is free at the Lansing Center, but validation is required.
  • Bring your parking stub to the BMCC Help Desk each day to receive your validation slip.

Go Mobile

There is no printed program, so please follow these steps to access your digital conference hub:

  • Download Attendee Mobile in your app store:
  • Open Attendee Mobile, search for “2025 BMCC” and log in with the same email and password used for your conference registration.
  • Access your personalized agenda, session materials, and the attendee chat and more.

Need Continuing Education Credits?

BMCC has you covered. Eligible sessions are marked with an asterisk (*) in the title and include credits approved for National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Real Estate Elective, and Fair Housing. Credit tracking is conveniently integrated into the conference mobile app.

Accessibility Features

Key features include on-site support, a quiet room, microphone use in all sessions, and enhanced accessibility in the main hall, including Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) services.

Vendor Marketplace Offers Books, Breaks, and Big Connections

Our sold-out Vendor Marketplace is your home for networking, inspiration, and these activities:

  • Vendor booths are open Wednesday only this year, so seize the opportunity to visit with other Partners in Progress.
  • Update your professional profile with a free headshot. Available during networking breaks both days.
  • Browse the BMCC Bookstore on Wednesday only for top reads on housing and community development, curated for change makers like you.
  • Meet this year’s keynote, Dr. Tiffany "Dr. T" Manuel, and get your book signed from 1:30–2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bookstore.

First-Time Attendee Meet-Up

Breakfast begins at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Join fellow first-timers at 7:45 a.m. in the back of Exhibit Hall BC to connect and get tips from the conference team on making the most of your time at the event.

Riverside Balcony Open Again

Take a break and enjoy the fresh air! The newly renovated Riverside Balcony on the west side of the Lansing Center is open for the first time since 2018. Weather permitting, it’s the perfect spot to relax or connect with fellow attendees between sessions.

Things to Bring

  • Reusable water bottle (filling stations available)
  • Layered clothing for fluctuating temperatures
  • Cell phone or tablet to access the app
  • Notetaking tools
  • Tissues (masks and hand sanitizer available)

Start times

Fuel up with breakfast at 7 a.m. Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. Thursday, and be ready for an 8:30 a.m. start both days.
